Fiduciary Advisor

Michael Evans, CFP operates as a "Fiduciary Advisor."  An advisor with fiduciary responsibilities is held to the highest ethical standards in the profession and has the ability to provide sophisticated wealth management services and advice.  Unlike the industry's typical brokerage account relationship, the fiduciary advisor must always act in the client's best interest.

Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)

Michael Evans, CFP is an INDEPENDENT Registered Investment Advisor.  Because he has no relationship whatsoever with any Broker/Dealer firm, he has avoided the inherent conflicts of interest created when attempting to serve "two Masters."  Registered Investment Advisor regulations define an RIA as "a person or company who, for compensation, engages in the business of advising others about the value of securities or the advisability of purchasing or selling securities.  RIAs are required to register with the State Securities Board and regularly receive unannounced field audits by State regulators.  By definition and by regulation, RIAs always serve the client in a fiduciary capacity.
